We are delighted to share that the Heath ward area has been selected to benefit from £20 million of investment over the next 10 years as part of the Government’s Pride in Place funding.
This significant investment will provide £2 million per year to support improvements across the area starting from Frizlands Lane and Central Park, helping to deliver long-term improvements for residents.
We have been working closely with partners such as the local MP – Margaret Mullane and making the case for investment into our community, and this announcement is a major step forward. It represents a real opportunity to secure meaningful improvements and ensure our area receives the attention and funding it deserves.
While details on how the funding will be used will be developed over time, residents will be pleased to know that they are at the heart of the process – with a residents panel deciding where the money is spent.
We will keep you updated as plans progress and encourage residents to get involved as opportunities for engagement arise.
