We are continuing to work towards improving our ward with your needs in mind. We are still waiting for the delivery and installation of new bins across the ward.
Bull Lane and Oxlow Lane Potholes / Road Surface
Ward Councillors have raised concerns regarding the current state of road surface’s on Oxlow Lane near the Eastbrook Junction and on Bull Lane. Both locations are due to be surveyed by the Council’s highways department.
Street Lighting
We have been conducting walkabouts in the evenings in the Winter, checking street lighting is on and in working order. Defects were reported on Trefgarne Road and on Stansgate Road.
Three Travellers Pavement
We are aware of the broken slabs outside the Three Travellers Pub which have raised several times to the Council. The original scheme was not built to a suitable specification for its usage and was only built to a typical footway standard, for light pedestrian usage, yet its usage provides vehicle access, including the pubs essential deliveries which has simply caused the location to wear over time. Highways teams have confirmed that works are being programmed for delivery asap, and a long term solution is being looked into.
Bull Lane and Sparrow Green Road Drainage
The Ward Councillors met with residents on Bull Lane, Tannery Close and Sparrow Green regarding drainage issues, we have liased with teams at the Council who have agreed to jet and clear these locations after a build up of debris.
Wood Lane Cycle Lane
We have raised concerns regarding the cycle path on Wood Lane, which residents of the new builds have to pass to access the footpath – we are awaiting a response on this matter.
